Blasberg attended Donald Trump’s inauguration gala in 2017 with Dasha Zhukova and Wendi Deng (as a reporter for CNN Style). He then appeared on CNN to comment on the fashion aspect of the event –

Blasberg is known to hang out with models and billionaire’s wives. Among them is Wendi Deng who, (ex) wife of Fox News founder Rupert Murdoch. Deng was involved with Tony Blair and other heads of state.

Deng was also the one who introduced Jared & Ivanka for the first time. She is often referred to as a talented matchmaker –

Derek ushered Zhukova to the world of US fashion, before and after her divorce. They both attended Joshua Kushner and Karlie Kloss’ wedding (alongside Jared & Ivanka) in Wyoming on October 2018 –

It is unclear how close Joshua & Derek actually are. On January 2017 Joshua attended the Women’s March on Washington DC.
